SAME is a multidisciplinary development and leadership programme restoring hope and empowering communities through socio-economic edutainment, entrepreneurship, skills-building, and action.
SAME was conceived in February 2004 by Don and Langanane Malamba, who recognized the urgent need to address South Africa's social challenges. Starting with the adoption of 17 youths into their family of five, they aimed to impart sustainable leadership, economic, and entrepreneurial skills.
As demand grew, SAME evolved into a formal Non-Profit Organization in May 2007, with an independent Board of Directors, clear vision and mission, and structured programs to enable communities to take charge of their lives.
Today, SAME operates across all nine provinces of South Africa, focusing on entrepreneurial spirit, skills development, community activism, youth engagement, and addressing critical social challenges.
To offer cogent and quality socio-economic edutainment and infotainment programmes.
To be the quintessential agent to positive social and economic empowerment.
Combining education with entertainment to engage communities effectively.
Operating across all 9 provinces of South Africa with community-based programs.
"To be the quintessential agent to positive social and economic empowerment." We envision communities where every individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential through access to education, resources, and support systems that foster growth and development.
"To offer cogent and quality socio-economic edutainment and infotainment programmes, with a view to changing targeted mindsets and behaviour patterns, as well as activate value-based community leadership and action to generate viable and sustainable solutions."
We combine education with entertainment ("edutainment") and information with entertainment ("infotainment") to engage communities effectively, focusing on what people love while delivering critical messages and skills. This innovative approach ensures higher engagement and retention of important social messages.
Youth Empowerment & Leadership Program
Responds to youth disinterest in governance and community activism through value-driven programs developed by youth themselves. YouthPro creates platforms for young people to develop leadership skills, entrepreneurial mindsets, and community engagement.
Value-Based Leadership Development
Creates a cadre of cogent and value-based leaders throughout SADC communities and Africa. We believe quality leadership is fundamental to addressing social challenges. SAMECadres focuses on ethical leadership, decision-making, and community stewardship.
